Michèle Lapouge

Executive Assistant and car fleet manager

Michele Lapouge, Executive Assistant and car fleet manager, uses the image of the octopus to illustrate how her daily work is made up of a large number of tasks. Her talent: she knows how to prioritize tasks and not simply deal with them one by one so that she knows exactly where she stands.
Michele Lapouge deals with the practical and administrative management of all the vehicles in the Verlinde car fleet including: the logistics organization of the travel requirements of Verlinde’s representatives and personnel anywhere in the world, checking the administrative documents of customer contracts in close collaboration with company representatives, not forgetting relations with the legal department to defend the Verlinde brand across the world.
Furthermore, she is responsible for two employees whose tasks are reception and dealing with mail.

My function

But above all, Michele Lapouge sets up the link between staff through the organization of the annual seminar that brings all Konecranes group subsidiaries together and also of the two annual meetings between Verlinde and its partner integrators. On an in-house basis she arranges the annual lunch for Verlinde staff that presents a rare opportunity of bringing together all the representatives who spend much of their time travelling. Her mission: making sure the personnel feel at ease by their getting to know each other better that in turn improves work relations.
Michele Lapouge obtains great satisfaction from the diversity and movement involved in her job. Verlinde employed her in 2004 in the warranty department where she built up solid technical knowledge of company products. She was appointed executive assistant in 2013 following a retirement. Her multi-task post changes continuously in tune with changes of organization and staff, a job that suits Michele Lapouge who dislikes repetitive routine very well.

My hobby

A great cinema lover, Michele Lapouge likes a change from daily life by watching action or adventure films or “blockbuster” movies, more often than not with her children. Her love of adventure manifests itself through her extensive travelling. Michele has travelled to many parts of the world to be with her husband whose work takes him to many different countries. This has enabled her to see Nature in all its forms at first hand. She will readily readily relate her diving adventures in the company of tortoises in the Carribbean or with her family in Mauritius to feed fish. One small particularity of Michele is that she does not possess a mobile telephone so that her peace of mind when she is off duty remains intact.
